Upper Electrode Supply Type Nut Feeder
by Dengensha Toa
Allows the upper electrode to hold a nut
Simple electrode structure using a magnet
The conventional lower electrode supply system had a problem of interference between the panel and the feed unit while feeding nuts to a deep drawn panel. The upper electrode supply system supplies nuts to the upper electrode side beforehand thus avoids such interferences for welding.
- Nuts are held with a magnet and will not drop even if air or electricity supply should stop
- Employed electrodes can be installed on the standard electrode rod with a taper.
- During pressurization, the upper guide pin is pushed down lowering the holding force of nuts, which will be passed on to the lower guide pin.
Employment of our proprietary link mechanism allows reliable supply of nuts
- The feed unit accepts nuts.
- The cylinder advances to move nuts to the underside of the upper electrode.
- The tension rod stops, rotates the end of the supply unit to supply nuts to the upper electrode.
Cycle time reduction
Nuts are supplied to the upper electrode beforehand to allow welding immediately after setting the panel, which can shorten cycle time.
